Found this little wooden box with soapstone markers in it. Believe they may have been used by an early welder. ???

I'm a blacksmith and i didnt see( but didnt read every last word) on the website anything regarding forgewelding. just a thought, since that is the beginning of the history of welding.

-------------------------------------

[Ed."> The compilation of dates is a summary of the references I have collected, sorted, and published from hundreds of resources. Yes, forge welding is the father of the totality of the history welding. A few years ago, my main screen had Hephaestus and Apollo. You can find that in the images section.

Since much has been written about forge welding, little reference was found in the books I have read. Not that it is not important, the focus of my research is about the evolution of the technology since the forge welder. Look at how the world changed when Electricity and Welding came together. all because of the dreams of the blacksmith wanting to build bigger, larger, metal structures.

Thank you for visiting and posing a valuable observation and question.
